  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract

Step 1: Prepare the Dry Mix

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix well and set aside.

Step 2: Cream Butter & Sugar

In a large bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until light, smooth, and creamy.

Step 3: Add Vanilla & Eggs

Mix in the vanilla extract. Then add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

Step 4: Add Yogurt or Buttermilk

Pour in the yogurt (or buttermilk) and mix until combined.

Step 5: Combine Everything

Gradually add the flour mixture into the wet mixture. Mix until smooth and fluffy.

Step 6: Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into a greased cake mold and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 30–40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Step 7: Make the Frosting

Beat the butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar and vanilla. Mix until smooth. If desired, add a few drops of yellow food coloring.

  • 2 tbsp 2 vanilla extract

  • 3 3 eggs

  • 1 cup 1 yogurt (or buttermilk)

  • For Frosting:

  • 2 tbsp 2 vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp 2 yellow food color (optional)
