Hello, my lovely bakers! It’s Memona here, and today, I’m sharing a truly indulgent recipe that’s going to take your dessert game to the next level. These Silky Chocolate-Coated Brownies are everything you’ve ever wanted in a treat—fudgy, rich, and wrapped in silky melted chocolate. Whether it’s a celebration, a thoughtful gift, or simply a personal indulgence, this recipe is perfect for every occasion. Let’s get started!
Ingredients Chocolate-Coated Brownies
For the Brownies:
- 120 g cooking oil (or melted butter)
- 1 egg
- 60 ml water
- 50 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 120 g plain flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
For the Chocolate Coating:
- 100 g white chocolate chips
- 100 g milk or dark chocolate chips
- 1–2 tbsp oil (for melting)
For Decoration:
- Chopped pistachios or your favorite toppings
Instructions Chocolate-Coated Brownies
Step 1: Prepare the Brownie Batter
- Mix the Chocolate Base: In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and water. Stir the mixture until the chocolate chips melt and the ingredients form a smooth, glossy base.
- Add the Egg: Crack 1 egg into the chocolate mixture and whisk it in until fully incorporated. This will add structure and richness to your brownies.
- Incorporate the Oil: Gradually pour in cooking oil (or melted butter), stirring continuously until the mixture is smooth and shiny. The oil ensures your brownies stay moist and fudgy.
- Check the Mixture: At this stage, check your brownie mixture to ensure all ingredients are well combined and the batter has a smooth consistency. Adjust if needed.
- Add Dry Ingredients: Sift the plain flour into the mixture to avoid lumps. Gently fold it in using a spatula until everything is just combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can affect the texture of your brownies.
Step 2: Bake the Chocolate-Coated Brownies
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 170°C (340°F).
- Prepare the Baking Tray: Line a baking tray with butter paper and spray it lightly with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Pour the Batter: Pour the brownie batter into the prepared tray and spread it evenly using a spatula. Make sure it’s level for an even bake.
- Bake: Place the tray in the oven and bake for 20 minutes. Check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the brownies; if it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, they’re ready.
- Cool Down: Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool completely before handling. This is important to ensure the brownies set properly and don’t crumble when you cut them.
Step 3: Shape the Brownies
- Cut into Shapes: Once the brownies have cooled, use a round or square cutter to cut them into neat shapes. Don’t worry about the scraps—we’ll use them later for decoration.
- Set Aside: Arrange the cut brownies on a plate or tray, ready for coating.
Step 4: Melt the Chocolate
- Melt White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the white chocolate chips along with a little oil (around 1 tbsp). Microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
- Melt Milk or Dark Chocolate: Repeat the same process with the milk or dark chocolate chips and a bit of oil. Make sure both types of chocolate are silky and ready for dipping.
Step 5: Coat the Brownies
- Dip in Chocolate: Take each brownie piece and dip it into the melted chocolate. You can use white chocolate, milk chocolate, or a combination of both to create a marbled effect. Use a fork or skewer to help coat the brownies evenly.
- Decorate: While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle chopped pistachios or your favorite toppings over the top. This adds a beautiful crunch and a pop of color.
- Set on a Tray: Place the coated brownies on a tray lined with butter paper to prevent sticking.
Step 6: Chill and Set Chocolate-Coated Brownies
- Refrigerate: Transfer the tray to the refrigerator and let the brownies chill for 30-60 minutes, or until the chocolate coating has hardened.
- Store: Once set, you can store the brownies in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week—if they last that long!
